The Myth & Legends
Long time ago, in the foregone era, a pair celestial turtles roamed the world and laid 3 magical eggs. The eggs transformed into crystals that brought lives to the land. With such an immense power within, the stones were broken into pieces and placed in different areas of Eizper.

The Turtle, The Watcher and The Stones

There was once a pair of turtles, majestic and slow they were. The last two who remain of their kind, they toiled to revive their kind. One fateful season, the universe smiled upon the majestic beings, and the female migrated, slowly but surely, steadfast and careful, to a nesting zone to lay some eggs. She looked around to make sure the sand was dry, and the place was safe. All their hopes lay in these eggs.

Deep was the hole she dug for the eggs she would lay. Three precious eggs did she lay. They glowed and glimmered like stars. They thrummed and hummed with life. Loth was she to leave the eggs, but leave them she must, for the young ones must find their own path to the surface. If they did not pass that very first trial, then they would not pass the harsh, crude world. So she lumbered away regretful, worried, stoic.

Little did she know, a watcher stood in the abyss. A pair of hands swept through, and long crooked fingers circled around one, two, three precious eggs. All three were taken from their hole in the sand. Hands covered the eggs with intricate spells, words older than time, songs of the unknown. Hands plunged the eggs in heat and in ice, in seasons of the world. Hands turned life within fragile shells into power within crystal stones. For the crystal stones only, could usher in the Age of Humans.

The majestic turtles died in peace, believing they had fulfilled their purpose. Kingdoms were split so not one land would have all the power of the three stone crystals. Passed down from generation to generation, the crystallized eggs simply became known as Eizper, for which the land was named after.

The Wall Builders

Several years after the Shattering of Lands, a company of desperate, starved, poverty-ridden miners came upon their dream: a prolific mine. Their previous source had been overmined, and they travelled far and wide to seek out a new source. Upon finding the Fang Mountains, the company knew this was where they would make their new home.

Alas, had not the world tried them enough? Even after their long and wearisome journey, these miner vagabonds found their new future home to be infested with Chimeras, misshapen beasts, of ruin who were every bit as starved and desperate as they were. They could not turn back now, however, and everyone knew this was their last stand.

Their children were-hidden behind crumbling Pagan walls,. while their parents, men and women both, braved the Chimeras. Let them see who was more desperate, who was more starved, who Was more powerful than the beasts.

In the end, the companions remained, though vastly reduced in numbers. Large were the pyres built on the pagan altar, and though they burned the bodies of the brave, they did not burn the Chimeras.

Lore #4

No, the founders of Windenfel made the most use of the Chimera bodies. They skinned them for pelts grid coats, dried the muscles for winter's storage, and carved the bones into arrowheads and daily tools.

Lore #4

They were desperate indeed, those who founded Windenfel. But in the end, they remained.
