What is Splash Art?

How many of you know and have heard of splash art before? Pretty sure it’s not a term that everyone is familiar with because only certain people know about splash art and use it daily. Splash art is a term used by people in the art illustration and design industry to name a picture displayed on the loading screen of a game or illustration. An illustration is alongside the game world because it has been shown to promote a new character, a new boss, and even the latest game event.

Splash art is a part of illustration because it was made with the same goal in mind: as a medium to convey emotion and feelings through a picture. Within splash art, visuals are displayed and packed with compositions, colours, gestures, pose, expression, and settings from every character to effectively convey the information and impression.

Eizper Chain Illustrator Contest

Seeing the potential, Eizper Chain, which is the blockchain base Action RPG Game created by an Indonesian, wants to urge the local young generation to learn more about splash art. At the “Eizper Chain Ilustrator Contest” event, Eizper Chain would like to create a space for young illustrators to compete while creating their best splash art illustration masterpieces.

Besides the competition itself, Eizper Chain will also hold a talk show with the theme “Splash Art in Game Industry” on October 8th, 2022, that will invite ECIC judges as panellists to this talk show.

This event is expected to facilitate young Indonesian illustrators to get to know the vital role of splash art, which an illustrator creates to promote characters in the game. We also want to show and encourage Indonesian talents to Eizperians locally and globally.
